Arte Para Todos
Sevilla, Spain. 2010
Over 30 artists from 20 countries came and created a mural or sculpture in the San Pablo neighborhood of Sevilla. Yamasaki’s mural is about the social and environmental consequences of globalization, considering what we are leaving for future generations. Yamasaki’s mural addresses the environmental consequences of globalization, while relating consumerism to the displacement of countless communities worldwide.
Camouflaged text at the top of the mural quotes Arundhati Roy (in Spanish):
“Either way, change will come.
It could be bloody, or it could be beautiful.
It depends on us.”
