Grace Lee Boggs Tribute

Detroit, Michigan.

This project took place over two days this spring at an urban garden in downtown Detroit. Inspired by Grace Lee Boggs, longtime Detroit activist, the text on the mural reads: “Today we need to combine learning with work, political struggle, community service and even play.”

The project was created in solidarity with the Boggs Educational Center, an incredible new school currently in formation amidst Detroit’s current concurring economic and educational crisis.
