Ballet Tech, the New York City School for Dance, 2000-2014

Yamasaki served as teaching artist at Ballet Tech from 2003-2014, working with the 4th-8th grade students who had been selected from a pool of 30,000 public school 3rd graders to join the school partnership with the private Ballet Tech Foundation. As the art teacher, Yamasaki partnered with teachers across disciplines to develop projects relevant to their academic curriculum. Prior to that, Yamasaki had worked at Ballet Tech for the 2000-2001 school year as the Spanish Teacher, company tutor, guidance counselor and middle school humanities teacher (that was an unusual year).
