If Walls Could Talk, I

East Harlem on 118th Street and 1st Avenue, New York. 2012

This project was designed by incarcerated mothers at Rikers Island, painted by and for their children in East Harlem.

The children also designed a project for their mothers, that the mothers painted in Riker’s Island.

This project was funded 100% by a Kickstarter campaign.
